Principle 1 — God's Existence
The foundation of all foundations: God exists, and all existence depends on Him.
Principle 2 — God's Unity
God is one — not like a pair, not like a species, but a unique and absolute unity.
Principle 3 — God Has No Body
God is not physical and physical concepts do not apply to Him.
Principle 4 — God is Eternal
God is the first and the last — He preceded everything and will outlast everything.
Principle 5 — Prayer to God Alone
It is fitting to pray to God alone and to no intermediary.
Principle 6 — Prophecy
God communicates with humanity through prophecy.
Principle 7 — Moshe's Prophecy
Moshe Rabbeinu was the greatest of all prophets, before and after him.
Principle 8 — Divine Origin of Torah
The entire Torah was given by God to Moshe.
Principle 9 — Torah is Unchanging
The Torah will not be changed and no other law will come from God.
Principle 10 — God Knows Human Actions
God knows all the deeds of human beings and is not oblivious to them.
Principle 11 — Reward and Punishment
God rewards those who keep the commandments and punishes transgressors.
Principle 12 — The Coming of Mashiach
Belief in and anticipation of the coming of the Messiah.
Principle 13 — Resurrection of the Dead
The dead will be brought back to life when God wills it.
